Ethics

Ethics

All psychologists are required to follow a strict code of conduct (i.e., professional ethics) which is designed to ensure that inpiduals receiving psychological treatment are provided with the cutting edge of psychological treatments. Our ethical code stipulates that those in our care must be treated with the highest level of respect and dignity.

APA recently updated our professional ethics in 2002 with amendments in 2010. In recognition of the high standards mandated by APA’s ethical standards, West Virginia law requires that all psychologists conform their professional behavior to these rigorous standards.
