WVPA APA Citizen Psychologist

Congratulations to Dr. Jessica Luzier, Ph.D. ABPP, the WVPA APA Citizen Psychologist.

We recognize Dr. Luzier’s devotion to promotion of psychological well-being for residents of West Virginia, advocacy to improve access to quality care, and efforts toward public education and outreach.  She has provided service to WVPA and to state and federal advocacy efforts.  Additionally, she organizes and moderates the WV Eating Disorders Network to provide needed support to clinicians throughout the state and supports quality care for patients in the state.  Thank you Dr. Luzier for your ongoing work!

Emerging Leadership Program

The West Virginia Psychological Association is pleased to announce the inaugural cohort of the Emerging Leadership Program (ELP). The primary goal of this program is to create and foster leadership opportunities for early career psychologists in our state. Through a competitive process, four early-career psychologists were selected and have been paired with a mid or later-career psychologist, who will provide leadership mentoring throughout the year.
Please join us in congratulating the 2021 cohort of WVPA Emerging Leaders.
